College of Education in Al-Dawayah – University of Al-Shatrah

The College of Education in Al-Dawayah is one of the newly established academic institutions affiliated with the University of Al-Shatrah. It was founded in 2024 to serve as a beacon of knowledge and learning, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation that is academically and educationally qualified, capable of advancing the educational reality and serving the community.

The College adopts a noble educational mission centered on preparing teachers who possess scientific competence, creativity, critical thinking skills, and a strong sense of belonging and national responsibility. It also seeks to develop students’ research and pedagogical skills in line with modern developments in the fields of education and learning.

The College comprises two academic departments:

 • Department of Physics, which aims to graduate students with a solid scientific foundation in physical sciences, enabling them to apply their knowledge in education and scientific research.

 • Department of English Language, which focuses on preparing qualified linguistic and academic cadres proficient in the four language skills and capable of employing them in education, translation, and cultural communication.

Since its establishment, the College of Education in Al-Dawayah has sought to be a stimulating environment for learning and creativity, and an active center for scientific research, through which it contributes to achieving the vision of the University of Al-Shatrah in academic leadership and serving both the local and national community.

Objectives of the College of Education in Al-Dawayah :

 1. Preparing qualified educational cadres who possess scientific competence and modern teaching skills.

 2. Developing scientific research in the fields of education, science, and language.

 3. Enhancing students’ abilities in critical and creative thinking.

 4. Contributing to community service through educational and cultural activities.

 5. Promoting ethical and national values among students and teachers.

 6. Keeping pace with modern educational developments and integrating technology into education.

Vision of the College of Education in Al-Dawayah

The College of Education in Al-Dawayah aspires to be a distinguished academic institution in preparing teachers and researchers capable of keeping pace with scientific and educational developments, and to occupy a leading position among colleges of education in Iraq through the quality of education, scientific research, and community service, thereby contributing to the building of a conscious and creative generation that supports the nation’s progress and development.
